At the heart of the EPC is the process and content repository. The business process management repository stores all information relative to the process including the process maps, key process data, organizational relationships such as the resources, roles and organization units that own or execute processes, all documents and content associated with processes and all of the rules governing security and access to the repository.

The EPC Repository was designed to support solid change management functions. Every object stored in the EPC repository is versioned with complete audit trails that are maintained to track changes. Audit trails can be viewed online, extracted and reported, a vital component for managing change and insuring compliance of process rules.
