Process Workshops
Process Discovery Workshop Methodology
The purpose of our process workshops is to enhance process visibility through process mapping. We utilize industry-standard best-practice frameworks and methodologies for a systematic approach to process discovery and documentation. Each workshop will seek to
- Define the process scope (SIPOC)
- Map the current (“as-is”) process (BPMN)
- Identify problem areas and opportunities for process improvement
- Document the flows of inputs and outputs through the process and related tasks
- Document Roles and responsibilities (RACI)
- Identify and map additional process information (Documents, Risks, Controls, etc.)
Each Process Discovery workshop has three core components:
- An initial process workshop dedicated to studying and mapping the process in question with your process modelers and the appropriate SME and end-users,
- A “process walkthrough” to validate the process modeled in the initial workshop, and
- A process review session with the SME, process owners, and end-users to ensure that the details are as accurate as possible.
If you have used our SOP Migration Services, workshops dedicated to previously migrated processes will emphasize process revision. The initial process workshops will be shorter, since process maps have already been created and recommendations have been documented. This saves time and increases the number of processes covered.
