2008/04 - Interfacing wins Bid with the Quebec Pension Agency for BPM transformation

educationMontreal, April 2008 - Interfacing Technologies Corporation has been selected to provide the Régie des Rentes du Québec (RRQ) with the tools necessary for their drive towards Business Process Management (BPM) excellence. The goal of this project is to document the processes involved in pension systems that span private, public, and corporate systems for total process improvement.

The RRQ manages the sensitive financial information for the pensions of 5 million clients, supported by 1000 staff members in 7 service locations around the province of Québec. Guided by Interfacing's consulting team, the RRQ will make use of the Enterprise Process Center (EPC) to model their complex internal processes and database structures.

After conducting a pilot BPM project using MS Visio flowcharts, the RRQ realized that their process maps were becoming too complex and interconnected to be managed with this tool. Their search for a more suitable platform became a rigorous selection process that ultimately led them to the EPC. They chose the EPC because of its hierarchy-based process repository that allowed them to link and navigate processes with ease. The final deal structure also includes training and consulting services from the Interfacing professional services team to enable a quick transition to using the EPC process modeling platform and the development of a deep understanding of overall process improvement.
