Interfacing is pleased to announce that they will be co-hosting Microsoft’s “Project® & Visio® Tips & Tricks National Series” when it comes to eastern Canada at the end of May. The sessions will highlight what’s new in Visio 2010, and will present the complementary capabilities of Interfacing’s BPM software and MS Visio to show attendees how to derive additional value from Visio for enterprise architecture, GRC management, and process automation.

Interfacing Co-host Microsoft Event

Microsoft’s advanced diagramming tool allows business analysts to easily model their processes in professional-looking flowcharts. Interfacing’s Free BPMN Modeler, an add-on for Visio, treats the process knowledge mapped in Visio as centralized “objects,” rather than as attributes, allowing users to reuse the information (such as roles, documents, and KPIs) across processes and tasks within the Visio environment. Additionally, with the BPMN modeler, users can organize their processes with hierarchies, drill-down through multiple levels, and automatically generate Swimlane diagrams and value-stream maps. Visio can then be used in conjunction with Interfacing’s BPM suite, the Enterprise Process Center® (EPC), to support comprehensive GRC and automation programs; processes can be modeled in Visio, managed in the EPC’s controlled environment, and deployed to the integrated Workflow engine for automation.

Interfacing will also present a BPM case study illustrating how a Fortune 500 multinational in the Food & Beverage industry leveraged the two companies’ complementary solutions to advance through the process maturity model and support a complex corporate governance and SOX compliance program.

This partnership dates back to 1997, even before Microsoft acquired Visio. Since then, we have witnessed the evolution of the Visio platform and appreciate the positive impact that it has had on its vast community of corporate users. 60,000+ downloads of our BPMN Modeler over the last 18 months, the continued use of Visio to support EPC-driven BPM programs, and the feedback we receive from around the globe confirm the value of our partnership for our clients’ process mapping projects.
