Job Title:

Senior Process / IT Analyst

 

Location:

South Africa (hybrid/onsite depending on business needs)

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process / IT Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Business Process Management (BPM), Quality Management, and Regulatory Compliance, combined with financial industry expertise. You will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of bridging business and IT, and experienced in consulting environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support business process analysis, design, and optimization initiatives to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, identify process gaps, and recommend effective IT solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of business processes with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., financial regulations, data protection, ISO, SOX).
  • Act as a key liaison between business units, IT, and regulatory bodies, translating complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Oversee Quality Management initiatives, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Provide strategic input into IT and business roadmaps to support organizational goals.
  • Lead workshops, presentations, and stakeholder engagements to gather requirements and present solutions.
  • Support change management efforts, including training, documentation, and adoption strategies.
  • Contribute to governance and audit readiness through effective documentation and monitoring of compliance controls.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, or related field; postgraduate qualification advantageous.
  • 8+ years’ experience in Process Analysis, IT Analysis, or similar roles.
  • Strong experience with Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies and tools.
  • Proven track record in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance (local and global).
  • Financial services experience highly valuable (banking, insurance, or financial technology).
  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, digital transformation, and governance frameworks.
  • Previous experience in consulting or client-facing roles is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with process modeling standards (e.g., BPMN, UML, EPC).

  • Strong strategic leadership and ability to influence decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Proficiency with BPM tools (e.g., ARIS, Signavio, Interfacing EPC, Visio).
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
